THE
JOKERS
Sis's pencil one evening wrote with
almost lightning rapidity:—
"We are not trying much. This is not
Mary. She was called away and
we thought we would try. How do you like my penmanship? We think it
pretty good for the first, but can do better after practice."
'Who is this?'
"Never mind. We are not malicious,
anyway. But Mary would think
us 'no good.' We would not measure up to her requirements.
"She is corning! Good bye!"
Sis asked Mary who they were.
"Just jokers, and not much good, just
as they said. But no harm is done. They will learn wisdom in time."
'I am glad there
are
jokers in heaven.' "You
may be one yourself!"
