DESIRE
FOR RECOGNITION
"We grow impatient here at times at the
delay of earth people in their
recognition of our presence, especially by investigators whose word would
have much authority if given in our support. We have given the world proof
after proof, and yet they want still more. We think the time has come for
us to insist that they give their attention to the vast accumulation of
evidence, and make some use of it.
"No honest investigator has really
denied the reality of our manifestations. But it is so difficult to get
them to publicly admit it. We are trying to use our influence now to have
some one make a thorough analysis of the quantity of material that is in
their hands, with the determination to show that there is sufficient to
supply a firm foundation for a spiritistic belief."
We said that Prof. Richer had made some
analysis of that kind, but had
failed to arrive at a spiritistic belief.
"We know. We hoped he would be the one
to do it. We think there are
several others who will be amenable to our influence, and
we hope for some show of success."
